About the courses

Who the training is for, what happens on the course, and where to start asking questions.

Who are Satori's courses for?
Most participants are already experienced professionals: Scrum Masters, Product Owners, team leads, specialists, agile coaches and change agents. The aim is to deepen practice, not to walk through the basics. CSM and CSPO also suit people still considering the role. A-CSM is not for a beginner.
Is the course a lecture or a workshop?
A workshop. You practise with your own examples, not textbook cases. Most of the time goes to doing and discussing, not listening. The pedagogical foundation is Training from the Back of the Room and the 4C model (Connections, Concepts, Concrete Practice, Conclusions) — experiential learning, not a lecture.
Can I attend without prior Scrum experience?
CSM and CSPO require no previous experience. They build a solid foundation that holds up in real work. A-CSM assumes you've already noticed that learning the mechanics alone isn't enough — experience gets more out of it than reading does.
What's the difference between CSM and A-CSM?
CSM gives you the foundations of the Scrum Master role: the accountability, the framework, the meeting structure, making work visible, and the certification. A-CSM focuses on facilitation, leading change and people skills — the situations where mechanics alone don't move things forward.
Is CSPO the right course for a Product Owner?
Yes. The course has been updated specifically with the AI era in mind. Prioritisation and stakeholder collaboration are at the centre, and one section deals directly with how AI changes the Product Owner's work.
Are the courses in Finnish or English?
Public courses are mainly held in Finnish. If at least three participants ask for English, the course is run bilingually and the materials are in English. A custom on-site course can be held entirely in English.

Certification

What the Scrum Alliance certifications mean and how you earn them.

Do I get the certificate just by attending?
CSPO® and A-CSM® are granted on the basis of attendance: once you've taken part on both days, the credential lands in your Scrum Alliance account. CSM® also requires passing an online exam. The exam is included in the price and can be taken right after the course.
Is the certificate permanent?
Scrum Alliance requires renewal every two years. You renew by paying a small membership fee and collecting SEUs (Scrum Education Units) — for example by taking further courses or attending community events. For anyone active in the work, the SEUs add up almost without you noticing.
What does Scrum Alliance membership include?
Access to Scrum Alliance learning materials and the international alumni database, discounted Scrum Gathering tickets, and membership in local Scrum communities. Two years of membership are included in the CSM course price. On the CSPO course it can be added as a separate service.
Can the certificate be added to LinkedIn?
Yes. The official Scrum Alliance credential shows up in the LinkedIn Credentials section. Scrum Alliance emails you a direct link for adding it as soon as the certification is granted.
What does A-CSM® require?
A prior CSM® and at least 12 months of work experience in developing ways of working (Scrum Mastering, coaching or equivalent). You can attend the course without these too: you get the same learning, but the certificate is granted only once the Scrum Alliance prerequisites are met.

Pricing and cancellation

What's included in the price, and how registration and any cancellation work.

What's included in the price?
Two full days of training, the materials (digitally, also after the course), morning refreshments, lunch and afternoon refreshments on both days, and the Scrum Alliance certification. The CSM course price also includes two years of Scrum Alliance membership.
How does registration work?
Registration is done in Eventilla, which you reach directly from the course calendar card. The invoice comes through Eventilla and can be paid as a company or as a private individual.
Can I move my seat to a later course?
Yes, at no extra charge. A move is arranged whenever it's possible. Get in touch as soon as you can and we'll sort it out.
Can a colleague take my place?
Yes. A colleague can come in your place at no extra cost. Let us know in advance who's coming, so the certificate goes to the right name.
What's the cancellation policy?
Cancelling up to 14 days before the course is free of charge. After that the full price is charged — unless a replacement participant is found, or the seat is moved to the next course.
Is there a group discount?
There's a discount for a group of three or more participants. Request a quote via the contact form or by email and we'll agree the details. For a larger group (5+) it's worth considering a custom on-site delivery as well — it often works out cheaper.

Company training

Custom on-site deliveries: tailoring, pricing and the process.

What's the difference between an open course and a custom one?
An open course has participants from several organisations: the learning and the discussions range wide, and you build a network across companies. In a custom course the whole group comes from the same organisation with their own projects, and the content is built around them. Group size and length are agreed to fit the situation.
What does a custom course cost?
The price depends on group size, content and length. Request a quote via the contact form and I usually reply within one business day with a rough range.
What does a custom delivery include?
A discovery call (30 min, no obligation), a pre-course survey for the participants, tailoring of the course content to your situation, the delivery itself (usually 2 days), and a reflection call a couple of weeks later.
Can the course be held at our premises?
Yes. You need a large room (at least 50 m²) with space for group work too. If you don't have a suitable space, we arrange an external meeting venue and include the cost in the quote.
Can certification be included in a custom course?
Yes. CSM, CSPO and A-CSM can always be delivered as a custom course as well. The Scrum Alliance requirements stay the same — only the group and the content are tailored.
Which custom courses are most popular?
Right now the most popular is The Power of Encounter (consulting skills, 2 days). After that come the certified Scrum courses and the Humans and AI course, updated for the AI era.

Practical matters

Dietary needs, accessibility, remote attendance, and where to find more.

Are special diets accommodated?
Yes. Tell us your diet on the registration form or by email. Common special diets (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free) are handled without any trouble, and we always aim to arrange the others too.
Are the venues accessible?
The Helsinki venues in use (Tapahtumatalo Bank, Hilton Strand) are accessible. For the Tampere venues accessibility is checked per course. Mention on the registration form if you need support, and we'll confirm it separately.
Can I attend remotely?
Public courses are held on-site, because experiential learning needs the same room. A custom course can be run remotely, but then we recommend a shorter format (for example three half-day sessions) rather than two full days.
Do I get a certificate of attendance?
You get the Scrum Alliance certificate straight away. On top of that we can provide a separate certificate of attendance if you need one — for an employer's training budget, for example.
Can I get extra support alongside the course?
Yes. After the course we can arrange 1:1 coaching sessions, organisation-specific facilitation or additional materials. Mention it when you get in touch if that's of interest.
Where can I learn more about Satori Training Services?
Company details are on the /en/billing page, the trainer's story on /en/teemu, and the training philosophy on /en/satori. The fastest way to get an answer is to send a message via the contact form or by email to teemu@satorikoulutuspalvelut.fi.
