Trainer · experienced Scrum coach
Teemu Hyyryläinen
CST® · MSc · TBR-CT®
I’m a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST®), certified since 2019. Training from the Back of the Room Certified Trainer (TBR-CT®) since 2014, MSc in 2007. More than 25 years in software, leadership and developing how organisations work.

01 · Turning point
The turning point: Paris, 2013.
I started as a software developer in 1999 and moved gradually into team leadership and agile work through the 2000s. At the 2013 Scrum Gathering in Paris, something that had been smouldering for years became clear: developing how organisations work isn’t a side task. It’s a profession of its own — one that takes skill, discipline and empathy.
Since then it has been the most important part of my work: supporting people and teams so the work starts to flow and no one is left carrying the change alone.
In 2014 I qualified as a Training from the Back of the Room Trainer (TBR-CT®) — a commitment to learning by doing, not by lecturing. From 2018 to 2025 I ran Reaktor’s public Scrum Alliance courses in Helsinki — CSM, CSPO and A-CSM — and thousands of people came through them.
In 2019 I became a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST®), at the time one of fewer than 200 worldwide. In 2026 I founded Satori Training Services to carry this work on as an independent company.
02 · Pedagogy
A guide, not a prophet.
Every course rests on Training from the Back of the Room (TBR) and the 4C model — Connections, Concepts, Concrete Practice, Conclusions. Both come down to the same thing: people learn by doing and talking, not by listening.
In practice most of the time goes on real situations from your own work, in small groups, with reflection and sense-making that builds gradually. I don’t stand at the front handing out ready answers — I walk alongside as a guide, and the insight is yours. Satori is the moment something unclear suddenly becomes clear, when scattered knowledge and experience fall into place. That’s what we’re after.
03 · International
Based in Helsinki, taught around the world.
Alongside Finland, I’ve trained and consulted in the US, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Estonia, and lived in Paris in 2013.
I’m at home running courses in English for international teams. The usual arrangement is a two-day on-site CSM, CSPO or A-CSM course at your own office, built around your situation.
